Quest Diagnostics (Lyndhurst, NJ) has acquired Australia-based Enterix, maker of the FDA-cleared InSure colorectal cancer screening test, for about $43 million in cash. Founded in 1997 by a trio of laboratory and IVD industry veterans, Enterix also has a genomic and proteomic markers program for specific early detection of pre-cancers.
