Two recent deals, CPL’s purchase of Cognoscenti and AEL’s new Texas acquisition, focused on big players in the southeastern United States. "More acquisition is likely on the way, especially given the deep pockets behind some recent purchases" says one industry insider, "although the number of sizable independent labs up for grabs is dwindling fast."
