The Senate Finance Committee in late April released a 48-page document providing options for overhauling the health care system. Among the proposals are ones that would require greater transparency in self-referrals for diagnostic imaging services and adherence to appropriateness criteria.
The document is the first of three outlining committee options for health care reform legislation expected over the next few weeks.
