What Do The New Stark Rules Mean For You? An Update For Labs, Pathologists & Radiologists

October 02, 2007

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on August 27 released the long-awaited Stark II, Phase III, final rules. The rules, which take effect in early December, relax restrictions on physician recruitment, scale back the “indirect compensation arrangement concept,” and eliminate the “safe harbor” for determining hourly fair market value compensation for physicians. The rules also make a number of other changes and refine provisions included in Phases I and II.

Join us during this national audio conference to find out exactly what the new rules mean for you and your organization

During this 90-minute program, you’ll:

  • Understand the changes CMS has made to the Stark rule prohibiting physician self-referrals
  • Learn what impact these changes will have on your organization
  • Find out how the Phase III rules interact with the Phase I and II rules
  • Get insight into how the latest rules dovetail with changes proposed as part of the 2008 Medicare physician fee schedule

You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions in our interactive Q&A portion of the program. Take this hassle-free approach to learning about the latest Stark rules and understanding how they will affect you. And you can invite your entire staff—for one low fee.

Continuing education credit is available. For more program information, please call 800-401-5937 ext. 2.
