Steve Boyd
Steve Boyd has served as president and CEO of Southern
Diagnostic Laboratories since the company's inception in August 2003. His
clinical laboratory experience spans more than 23 years in the reference
laboratory industry and other related laboratory service.
Boyd served as vice
president of business development at Dynacare
Laboratories following the
company's acquisition in 2000 of ARL/LabSouth, a regional reference laboratory
in Alabama. At ARL/LabSouth, he served in various capacities during a 10-
year span from 1990 until 2000, including technologist and director of sales.
Boyd
served 21 years in the United States Air Force Guard from 1984 until 2005
when he retired. He trained extensively in laboratory sciences during his
military tenure. He received his bachelor’s degrees in marketing
and finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
