Ken Bahk

Ken Bahk, Ph.D., joined Nanosphere Inc. in July 2002 and serves as manager of market development. From an industry perspective, he is involved in the development of molecular diagnostics through elected positions in the Association for Molecular Pathology and the American Association for Clinical Chemistry.

For AMP, he has served as the test directory editor on the Journal of Molecular Diagnostics continuing medical education program committee and is currently on the nominating committee for infectious diseases. In his work with the AACC, Bahk is the chairman of emerging technologies for the molecular diagnostic division and served on the organizing committee for the 2006 annual meeting. He has chaired numerous panels and symposia including the Cancer Nanotech Conference (Upperside Conferences).

Prior to joining Nanosphere, Bahk performed basic science research at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Northwestern University where he earned awards from Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center. Additionally, he spent three years as an independent market research analyst and served as an associate at the University of Chicago technology transfer office assisting in the commercialization of intellectual property.

Bahk holds a Master of Science degree in neurobiology and physiology and a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology from Northwestern University.
