Dawn Maghakian

Dawn Maghakian, M.S., MP, (ASCP), and CLSp (MB), is a Technical Specialist, Scientist II, with Siemens Healthcare Solutions, Siemens Clinical Laboratory (SCL), in Berkeley, CA. Previously, she served as the clinical supervisor of the Biochemical Genetics and Molecular Pathology Laboratories at Stanford Hospital & Clinics, Stanford University Medical Center. As a clinical scientist with over 10 years of experience in both an academic and clinical setting, Ms. Maghakian brings to her specialty a keen insight into making molecular diagnostics work. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from the University of California, Davis, and her Master of Science in biology, with a human genetics and bioinformatics emphasis, from Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA. Ms. Maghakian is a member of the Phi Sigma biological sciences honor society and holds a California state license as a clinical genetic molecular biologist, as well as national certification as a clinical specialist in molecular biology CLSpMB (NCA) and technologist in molecular pathology MP (ASCP).
