Charles C. Miraglia
Charles C. Miraglia, M.D., uniquely blends the attributes of value-based executive
leadership with professional medical excellence. His combined experience includes
the wide scope of both academic and private practice medicine involving patient
care, education, research, information technology, and business. Dr. Miraglia
is known for his insight, capacity for action, and results.
Currently the president
and CEO of PA Labs LLC headquartered in Muncie, Indiana, and medical director
of Midwest Coag, a division of PA Labs, Dr. Miraglia has moved effectively
across the landscape of medicine, science, and innovation. To compete effectively
in a mature market, he has positioned PA Labs as an industry leader in the
Midwest through aggressive growth strategies that include acquisitions of smaller
independent labs, test menu expansion, and a unique blend of value-added services.
In
addition to his leadership in the field of laboratory medicine, Dr. Miraglia
contributes to Indianas business community. He is a member of the board
of directors of the Indiana Chamber
of Commerce and its economic development
committee, the board of directors for the Indiana
Blood Center, and the Business
Forecasting Roundtable at Ball State University.
Dr. Miraglia is actively involved
with a variety of entrepreneurial efforts throughout Indiana, primarily in
the area of advancing technology, as both a consultant and an angel investor.
He participates in many professional organizations including the American
Society for Clinical Pathology, the American
Association of Blood Banks, and the American
College of Physician Executives.
Dr. Miraglias early career research
comprised multiple areas of basic and applied science including cellular immunology,
coagulation biochemistry, preservation of human blood products, and stem cell
transplantation. He has published numerous articles in the peer-reviewed literature
and has contributed to countless other projects, providing advice and resources
to his colleagues.
