Anthony D. Konkoly, Esq., practices with McDonald Hopkins LLC, where he focuses on general corporate and commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, international business transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and antitrust law. Konkoly has a broad range of experience with publicly held and large privately held businesses in both the law firm and corporate setting and has represented a number of medical laboratories involved in merger, acquisition, and joint venture activities. Before joining the firm in 2003, he spent eleven years as in-house counsel at Noveon Inc. (formerly the specialty chemicals business segment of The B.F. Goodrich Company) and The B.F. Goodrich Company in a number of positions, most recently serving as group counsel to Noveons Performance Coatings Group. In this position, he was primary legal counsel to Noveons largest business unit and had additional responsibilities as primary legal counsel to Noveons corporate global purchasing, tax and treasury functions.
Konkoly began his legal career as an associate attorney with a big Cleveland, Ohio, law firm where his practice focused on corporate and securities law. He received his B.S. with honors from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce, and earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He was also awarded a certificate of completion of a non-degree program from Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management, Professional Fellows Program. He has been published in the Cleveland Bar Journal and Smart Business Cleveland. Tony is a member of the Cleveland Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the American Corporate Counsel Association (Member 1992 - 2002).
