The History of G2 Intelligence
Formerly known as "Washington G-2 Reports" and taking its signature “G-2” designation from the military branch responsible for intelligence, G2 Intelligence has provided critical information for the clinical diagnostic laboratory and anatomic pathology sectors since 1979 and today is the oldest independent news and analytical source for labs and pathologists in the U.S.
The company’s first publication was the National Intelligence Report which remains an industry mainstay more than three decades since it was launched. G2’s signature conference, Lab Institute, has grown into a “destination” industry gathering and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2012.
Over the years, the company added a series of targeted newsletters, conferences and research reports and services as part of its product offerings for the diagnostic field which were further expanded when G2 was acquired by a unit of the Bureau of National Affairs (BNA) in 1999.
